About The Connor Lab
Laboratory for Integrated Virology Experimentation (LIVE)
Who We Are
We are researchers focused on understanding viruses. Some of our projects are centered on understanding individual virion, others on virus-cell interactions. We also study how virus infection alters host responses on an organism level and how viruses change as they are transmitted from person to person. All of our efforts are focused on understanding how viruses work so that we can more effectively break them.
Where We Are
The laboratory was opened in 2007 in the Department of Microbiology at the Boston University School of Medicine. Since that time, there have been many changes. The School of Medicine is now the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. The department is now the Virology, Immunology, and Microbiology (VIM) department. The laboratory has moved to space in the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (while still remaining happily in the VIM department).
